Valley Metro Refurbishment

Scaffold: 130l/m of Dual 1.8m Walkway Gantry 10kPa Rated

Status: Completed

Davco was engaged to provide public protection whilst the Fortitude Valley Train Station surrounding buildings had a complete face lift. Servicing over 100,000 people a day this structure was erected entirely at out of hours, with full ply hoarding for protection of the public. This allowed the client to carry on the major demolitions and modification fit outs that were completed whilst allowing the train station to remain open.

Construction has commenced on the new Public School Building, after a lengthy delayed start due to remediation works that were required, the project has run seamlessly. A simple 3brd wrap to the perimeter with a second skin required for roof edge protection.

Scaffold: 50m Stretcher Stair

Status: Current

A scaffold Stretcher Stair extending 50m above the ground, atop an independent gantry system. This stair pushed all the boundaries well beyond the standard limits that the system is capable of. Where there is a will there is a way, and with the additional bracing and engineering requirements, the system was configured to support the required structure.

Construction of the new academic building commenced in September 2018 and will be completed in late 2019. The 6 Level large footprint building has a short build stage with slab pours weekly.

Commencing 5 Levels from ground, suspended off 42 I-beams and pushed out through the existing walls, the scaffold wraps the Transport House tower 9 more levels to contain the building whilst undergoing its refurbishment. The entire build completed in 2 weeks.

Situated in the beautiful Hamilton Island, 1500t of scaffold had to be mobilized and transported to Airlie Beach to be barged across in preparation for the project to repair the damage caused by Cyclone Debbie. 39 Luxury 2 & 3 story Villas nestled into the hill lapping to the waters edge and adjacent the famous Reef Hotel had to be contained to provide replacement roofing, balcony tiles, sliding shutter doors and a full repaint after the destructive cyclone. With a very tight deadline of only 6 months from commencement to completion due to guests arriving, the project was a challenge but completed on time.

Situated in the Industrial Area of Capalaba, Insurance Repair work was carried out to a tight deadline following a fire at the Garlic Bread Factory.
